Summertime ☀️ is a great time for evening fishing! My favorite two types of jigs for bottom fishing (in the cooler 😎 waters) are the Ned (and Ned EWG) Rig and Weighted Texas Rig. In murky waters or clear waters on cloudy ⛅️ days, I like to use purples and blacks with blue reflective flakes! On sunny days with clear waters, I start off using light (see-through) Browns, greens, white and blues. Anyone else use anything as a summer-go-to?

Im a big fan of simple spinners myself. My go-to is either a size 2 or size 3 Mepps aglia. I find every fish will bite a size 2 but sometimes use 3 to get a bit more distance on the cast. I use both silver and copper colour depending on the clarity of the water. Copper is essential in really clear water when trout fishing and silver in murky water.
I don’t use spinners very often, but while fishing the Colorado River this weekend, I saw a rainbow trout and decided to go ahead and try a silver spinner like you said, and sure enough, I pulled two in on a quick 10 minute fishing trip! I’ve always jigged, but I guess anything that catches fish works!
